Just something I noticed.Play your favorite classic games and more with the GameEx front end. They might die all of their guys out, and would then have to request Player 1 or Player 2 to 'insert coins' so they could continue playing. If you were trying to set up a game running MAME with 4 players, using regular old video game controllers, and tried using the UDA version, that would kind of suck, because Player 3 and Player 4 didn't have their own coin slots. Stick a coin into either slot, and press Start on whichever player you wanted to play. The coins slots on the UDA version were not dedicated to any specific player.

So, if you inserted a coin into Coin Slot 1, you could press Start on Player 4 if you wanted. On the UDA version, however, there were only 2 Coin Slots. So if you put a coin into Coin Slot 1, you could only press Start on Player 1. On the UAC version, though, there were 4 coin slots on the machine and they were dedicated to each specific player. Both the UAC and UDA version had 4 separate controls for each player. Ok, so I did notice something with the different USA 4-player variants of Sunset Riders. r/pinball - Pinball specific discussion. r/arcade - Original CoinOP Arcade specific discussion. r/RetroGamingNetwork - a multireddit for retro gaming! r/HyperSpin - HyperSpin specific discussion. R/MAME RULES/REGULATIONS REDDIT'S ARCADE COMMUNITY Over time, MAME (originally stood for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) absorbed the sister-project MESS (Multi Emulator Super System), so MAME now documents a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles and calculators, in addition to the arcade video games that were its initial focus.

The fact that the software is usable serves primarily to validate the accuracy of the documentation (how else can you prove that you have recreated the hardware faithfully?). The source code to MAME serves as this documentation. This is achieved by documenting the hardware and how it functions. As electronic technology continues to rush forward, MAME prevents this important "vintage" software from being lost and forgotten. MAME’s purpose is to preserve decades of software history. MAME is a multi-purpose emulation framework. Questions? Please check out OUR MAME/BYOAC Wiki!
